Heat Strengthen Glass
What it is?
Heat Strengthened Glass is produced from annealed glass using lower air quenching pressure. The sudden cooling cause compression on glass surface and the edges and remaining part develops stress zones.
Advantages
- It has twice the mechanical and thermal strength of annealed glass of equal thickness.
- It can bare heavy wind load and thermal stress.
Applications
In spandrel and/or vision areas whenever one needs better aesthetics.
